Got my mojo back

I woke as if someone was shaking me from the inside. I sat straight up. I was frightened. That was not the way to start my day. It was 3am. Here I am. Catching up on some Blog reading.

My Mojo has returned. No quilting = cranky mood.

Today, I am going to work on the Yellow Brick Road Quilt. Using fall fabrics and colors.

Off to the sewing room now. Have a great day everyone!!

A Test Block

Here is a test block for a swap. It is too big. If I square it up, I will lob off the points. Honestly, I am too lazy to rip it apart. : )

Maybe, I will put a border on it and practice free motion quilting. Yup, that sounds better!

Happy June

I have been busy in the sewing room. Above you can see two Blackford Beauty blocks. I have four done and eight to go. I have also mailed out two swaps this past week.

Take a look at the nine bark. Did I miss my favorite stage when they look like pearls? I think so. The garden is all tilled and ready for planting. I must get back to the sewing room. The Yankees and PM Style are on tonight.

Meet our houseguest

This is Potsie. He is a 1 year old basset. We are his foster family until a forever home can be found for him. We are trying out fostering for ABC (All Bassets Cherished) .You can read all about them here.

Not much sewing time this week. Alot of training, belly rubs, and slobbery kisses at my house.

Miss Elly takes it all in stride.

What happens when you grow up with your kids?

You become a very young Grandma! Meet Camden J. Isn't he cute? My daughter let me in the room when he was born. It wasn't my 45 minute labor but, she recieved something I didn't DRUGS.

I now hear myself saying " I wish they had that when my children were little."

Yes Miss Elly, your still my baby!
